Exams & Certification Overview
Upon completion of your training, it's highly recommended that you register for the BeautyCouncil examination. Once you have successfully passed the examination, you will receive a BeautyCouncil Certificate of Qualification in hair, esthetics, nail technology or one of the industry sub-trades.
BeautyCouncil's Certificate of Qualification is required to obtain the Certified Cosmetology Professional (CCP) designation. Those holding the CCP designation are professionals in good standing and are recognized internationally. Among many benefits of holding professional trade credentials, you are granted the eligibility to purchase exclusive professional products and equipment, and to apply for liability/malpractice insurance.
Please check with your municipality as some districts (i.e.. City of Surrey) will require a BeautyCouncil Certificate of Qualification when applying for a business license.
