Learn how to spot potential skin cancer on your clients

ByGreg Robins 2022-02-182023-01-03

We have teamed up with the Save your Skin Foundation to help you spots signs of possible skin cancer on clients through their Sty-Lives program.

Sty-Lives aims to empower and educate hair stylists and barbers to identify suspicious spots on the ears, face, and scalp of their clients, leading to earlier detection and treatment of potentially dangerous skin cancer.

Participating salons, spas, and barber shops receive training materials and resources. These are used to teach them how to detect suspicious spots on clients’ skin.

See your interview below with Marianne Gagnon, Program and Event Director, Save Your Skin Foundation.

To get started, fill out the form on their website. You will be contacted by a member of the sty-lives team within 3 business days to discuss next steps. Training materials and resources will be provided to you. Once you complete the short training, you’ll be ready to detect lesions.
