BeautyCouncil

In an unregulated market challenges with health & safety are heightened for workers and consumers. Recent media attention pertaining to infection control practices within our industry has revealed a gap in knowledge of industry best practices that the BeautyCouncil is addressing.

To renew public confidence and a high level of safety standards in our industry in Canada, BeautyCouncil is spearheading a coordinated union of all stakeholders including Health Ministries, local Health Authorities, Worker Safety Organizations, and Disease Control Agencies to raise the standard and awareness of health, safety and infection control protocols within the Cosmetology industry.

The result of this focus is new program called BeautySafe. This program is be designed to certify individuals and salons in a recognized course on maintaining your spa/salon, staff and clients in a BeautySafe environment.
